RATED 90 BURGHOUND : 'A fresh nose combines notes of citrus, petrol and freshly sliced apple. The very rich and generously proportioned medium weight flavors that possess an appealing mouthfeel, all wrapped in a moderately dry finale that offers good length on the acceptably complex finale.'

This may be our favorite vintage of Téte de Cuvée yet, and we taste this great white wine every year at the Burgundy barrel tasting event in NYC.' 

Château Fuissé’s Téte de Cuvée is a blend of over 20 prime vineyard sites throughout the appellation of Pouilly-Fuissé. Plots in Pouilly, with a high limestone proportion, contribute intense perfume yet more delicacy in the mouth. Those in Fuissé, where clay is more prominent, are less aromatic but fuller, more solid and structured. Vines are an average of 30 years old.

RATED 94 VINOUS : 'The 2020 Pouilly-Fuissé Le Clos 1er Cru which comes from the walled vineyard, the only officially-recognized Premier Cru monopole of 2.68ha, the vines east-facing on three soils- clay at the bottom, marl in the middle and limestone at the top. It was picked on 30 August. The nose is quite reticent at first, so leaving the wine in my glass for 10 minutes, it really opens and shows its complexity thanks to the mélange of soils, honeysuckle and dried honey, lime and faint hints of licorice. The palate is very well balanced with good depth, real weight and presence here, texturally-satisfying with impressive persistence on the finish. Excellent, but wise owls will cellar this for several years before broaching.'
